(01) & Assassin #2 (01)). They claim that when they lost the title to Bobby Shane & Doug Gilbert (01) on September 25, 1970, saying that the amateur wrestling headgear
their opponents wore during the match had them at an unfair advantage, as they alleged that the helmets may have been greased up prior to the match. Jones said he
and the championship committee would investigate and make a ruling at a later date.
